Jimmy/Jane * 15: National/BC

  • Multi sport player Grade 1-5
  • Soccer Focus since G6: Select, BC, NTC and National Team.
  • Full sport scholarship to university; Plays professionally in USL
  • Plans to coach/manage professionally

 

Sun Kim/Kanna * 275: Select or Y

  • Multi sport player through high school
  • Soccer is favourite sport; worked from silver to gold to select, improving skills attending NSSDC camps
  • Intends to keep playing community league after high school

 

Jose/Sophie * 1100: Gold/Silver

  • Plays many sports but has other interests and time demands
  • Has played soccer since peewee; attends some NSSDC camps for fun and skill development
  • Plays silver A; proudest moment was making Coastal B cup semi final as N Shore champions.
  • After school, may still play community soccer if he/She can find a suitable team; is thinking about taking a refereeing course.
  • Is not thinking about it yet, but will take a community coaching course when his/her own children start to play to game.

 

Peter/Mary * 6000: House League & Active for Life

  • Has played since G5; really likes the game but knows he/she is not the best
  • Comes to some NSSDC camps because they are fun
  • Around u14 to u16, may drop out of soccer to solo sports or “intramural” non-competitive.
  • Challenge is to make soccer (playing, refereeing and administration) attractive to him/her
